The "Swamp" has a political legend that all government shutdowns are beneficial to Democrats and detrimental to Republicans. In many recent shutdowns, polls have shown more Americans holding Republicans responsible. This is particularly true among Democrats and independents, which can negatively impact the GOP's image and electoral prospects. NPR reports, "If the federal government were to shut down, Republicans would get more of the blame than Democrats, according to a new NPR/PBS News/Marist poll, but a significant percentage would blame both parties equally. By a 38%-27% margin, respondents said they would blame Republicans for a shutdown with 3 in 10 saying both parties would be to blame. The plurality of independents, 4 in 10, would blame both parties equally. "Neither one wants to compromise," said Debra Sudbeck, 71, an independent from Nebraska. "It's just that Republicans want to do everything they can to antagonize the Democrats, and Democrats want to do everything they can to go against the Republicans. They're just fighting like two little kids.""

Chuck Schumer, Minority Leader of the United States Senate and New York Democrat, relied on historical legends to modulate the Democrat Party for the 2026 federal midterm elections. The Schumer Shutdown was his political "finger to the wind" personally and professionally to defeat his arch nemesis, President Donald Trump. Schumer, personally, needed to stave off Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), United States Representative, New York Democrat, who may challenge Schumer for his US Senate seat. According to Politico,"Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is leading Chuck Schumer by double digits in a new head-to-head poll of the 2028 New York primary.".Professionally, Schumer wants to make Trump a lame duck by taking back the US House of Representatives. In politics, a lame duck or outgoing politician is an elected official whose successor has already been elected or will be soon. Outgoing politicians are often seen as having less influence with other politicians due to their limited time left in office. In October 2025, recent news concerning Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer's statements about "lame duck" issues is focused on the ongoing 2025 government shutdown, which he has labeled the "Trump shutdown". Schumer's strategy as the incoming Minority Leader is to use the leverage of denying Republicans the votes needed to end the shutdown in order to secure health care priorities. Politico reports in October 2024 that congressional leaders were negotiating potential lame-duck deal to address AI concerns. With the government shutdown, Schumer has played his poker hand and the master card has been played.

Schumer didn't read this commentary. He was blinded by what he knew. Before marshalling the troops to employ the tactic of voting for the shutdown, Schumer had to present an ulterior image. According to the Senate Democrats in September 2025 deployed their national savior complex. Someone has to save America from the Democrats, why not a Democrat? .The Senate Democrats, in an attempt to cover their trails, released a report that Schumer was preparing a plan to defeat the Republicans and save Americans from a shutdown. They reported," Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) today announced legislation to fund the government, curtail the Trump administration’s lawlessness, avert the upcoming healthcare cliff, and avoid a government shutdown and released the following statement:

“The contrast between the Republican proposal and what Democrats have put forward is glaring. Republicans want the same old status quo of rising costs and declining healthcare. Democrats are fighting back with a real plan that addresses the needs of the American people."

Not really. You want to pay insurance companies to insure illegals and sally forth a budget that you and Nancy Pelosi, United States Representative and California Democrat, crafted many years ago in this continuing resolution.

Ipsos reports "Government shutdowns aren’t as common as they once were. Former President Jimmy Carter presided over five government shutdowns between 1977 and 1979. Former President Ronald Reagan presided over eight in his two terms in office. In the time since, spanning six different presidents, there had been a total of six. Now, that number is seven. That said, President Donald Trump is no stranger to government shutdowns. Trump’s first term featured two government funding shutdowns, one at the start of 2018 and a second at the end of 2018. This shutdown will be the third occurring under a Donald Trump presidency." But Republicans fear the people and how polls are used to power to propagandize the narrative. They do not wish to lose the midterms and lame duck Trump. However, Democrats are used to Republicans giving in, whether in the majority or minority. Polls are kryptonite to Republicans. Axios reports,"A super PAC linked to Chuck Schumer is telling allies that it would be a "mistake to take the pressure off Republicans" because Democrats are winning the political fight over the government shutdown," In the three card monty, Schumer and the Democrats want all to believe that they are winning the shutdown narrative. So much so, they can send US Representative Jasmine Crockett, Democrat from Texas, doing public relations in lieu of  AOC."Senate Majority PAC, a top group supporting Schumer's Democrats, circulated the memo along with polling that shows likely 2026 voters blame Republicans for a shutdown — and back Democrats' focus on health care."

Reuters reports, "Americans blame Republican lawmakers more than Democratic lawmakers for a partial government shutdown, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll that also showed Republican President Donald Trump's approval rating increasing slightly." Reuters polled that Trump would lose to former Vice-President Kamala Harris, so take their polling with a grain of salt! This is their-propaganda-narrative and it must come to pass. Right?

The Schumer Democrats are cracking! The propaganda-narrative-is mute. Trump and the Republicans are winning. Trump said,"Most people think small, because most people are afraid of success, afraid of making decisions, afraid of winning. And that gives people like me a great advantage." Tired of winning, yet?

The Schumer Democrats are cracking! When criminals know they are about to be captured, they may experience a range of emotions including fear and anger (the "fight or flight" response), surprise or relief. Some may feel frustration or indignation at being caught, especially if they blame others for their capture, while others might feel a sense of resignation, relief from a guilty conscience, or even a twisted form of pride that their "brilliant" plan was discovered. Psychology Today reports, "From time to time, we hear of people who bungle committing crimes so egregiously that it seems that they wanted to get caught. Stories appear in the media about “stupid” criminals and the “world’s dumbest criminals." Some say that Schumer is becoming delusional. I fear its more than that. What is delusional? A delusion is a fixed, false belief that is maintained despite clear evidence to the contrary. It is a symptom of a mental health condition, such as a psychotic disorder, and is different from hallucinations, which are sensory experiences like seeing or hearing things that aren't there. Delusions can be non-bizarre, referring to plausible situations like being followed or poisoned, or bizarre, referring to impossible situations like a person having their brain removed by aliens.  Delusional, he may be in believing he has a winning strategy. Delusional. he may be in thinking that the Democrats are winning. However, I believe its more. The Schumer Democrats failed at their rally. The Schumer Democrats are failing at holding America hostage with a government shutdown.

Rolling Stone ranked the fifty (50) worst political errors in US history. Number one is that former President Richard Nixon taped everyone in the Oval Office, which led to criminal conspiracies. By the way, Nixon was innocent. SCOTUS, the New York Times and Geoff Sheppard prove it. Based on the Supreme Court's July 2024 decision in Trump v. United States, former presidents are not immune from criminal prosecution for all crimes. The ruling establishes a tiered system of immunity that distinguishes between official acts, for which a former president has some protection, and unofficial or private acts, for which there is no immunity. The Court affirmed that a former president can be prosecuted for acts that were unofficial, or private, while in office. There are alot of people that owe this man an apology. I suggest that the Rolling Stone needs to apologize and supplant the number one from Nixon to the Schumer Democrats Shutdown fiasco!

Democratic Sens. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania and Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada and Independent Sen. Angus King of Maine broke ranks to vote to advance the bill-against the shutdown. House Minority Whip Katherine Clark (MA) said the quiet part out loud on the Schumer Shutdown during an interview with Fox News Congress reporter Chad Pergram. “Shutdowns are terrible and, of course, there will be, you know, families that are going to suffer,” she said. Schumer was talking about the fact that some media companies are being acquired by conservatives who might be more positive in their coverage of Trump and the administration. Thus, on the Senate floor, Schumer implied the Trump Administration is Being ‘Shielded’ by the Press. When has the press shielded Trump? The Democrats are cracking under the pressure of holding the Schumer Shutdown. Imagine how the Radical Left will react when Schumer has to fold.
