IF I DIE FROM THIS ASSAULT, MURDER SHE WROTE

I lived in a land that knew not Justice. They would give Him glorious praise on Sunday and shew Him the remainder of the week. Justice is viewed as an inherent and foundational attribute of God across various faiths, stemming from his character and defining his relationship with humanity. This belief means God is the ultimate standard for what is right and that he will ultimately ensure justice is served, either through his direct judgment, his creation of a just kingdom, or by his followers acting justly. This is often supported by scriptural references, such as the concept that righteousness and justice are the foundation of God's throne. God is Just. "Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face. (Psalm 89:14)" In the land, people misconstrued justice. They thought it had everything to do with their idep;pgy and nothing to do with their God. Consumed by darkness, men laud themselves by saying, "Judge not', Truth does not fear time, The Bible Project Scholarship Team in "What Matthew 7:1-5 (Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged) Means" remark that some say "Never judge." What a corruption to lift our feelings, our passions or our ideologies above the truth. No matter what we feel or propose, our standard for judgement should be the equal of Christ. No sinful desire above thee. "For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. (Matthew 7:2)." We do the world an injustice when we choose to judge unrightly the world before God. "If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor," attributed to Desmond Tutu. I feel the world around me has closed it heart to Justice and opened its mind to injustice. Tears roll down my face like a gentle mountain river into the quietly worshipful valley. "But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.(Amos 5:24)"

Silence is corruption. The world offers me the soft cover of darkness and the Truth the intense glare of His marvelous light. The quieted deeds of a few corrupt the whole of the body. An apple falls from the tree and the tree squeals it's not my apple. Those in medicine and science walk as gods amongst men. Their word are oracle in time and space. Physicians and nurses walk without sin as they are unquestioned gods amongst men. Public perception of doctors and nurses differs significantly, with nurses consistently ranked as the most honest and ethical profession in the U.S. for over two decades, while trust in doctors has seen a decline in recent years. Nurses are widely viewed as the most honest and ethical professionals, with 76% of Americans rating their ethical standards as "very high" or "high". Patients see nurses as powerful advocates, consistently on their side in what can be a profit-driven healthcare system. Because patients spend considerably more time with nurses than physicians during their care (around 86% of care time), nurses often build a stronger rapport with patients, facilitating better communication and a positive perception. Perceptions often highlight nurses as providing quality physical assistance, effective communication, and psychosocial support. Angelina Walker in "Nursing Ranked as the Most Ethical and Honest Profession for 23rd Year in a Row' writes, "Nurses secured the top spot, with a 15-point lead over grade school teachers, who landed in second place with only a 61% approval rating. Medical doctors, held the fifth place for the second year in a row, trailing nurses by a significant 23 points, with only 53% of Americans considering them the most trustworthy. Among the top 5 professions, three were of the medical profession - nurses, pharmacists, and doctors. The other two were grade school teachers and military officers."

Trust in the medical industry has significantly decreased, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic, due to factors like increased politicization of public health policies, institutional betrayals, and perceived failures in communication and care. This decline impacts public health, leading to lower vaccination rates and reduced use of services, and can be rebuilt through a focus on core principles like competence, communication, caring, cost, and comfort. Rebuilding trust involves improving the patient-provider relationship and addressing systemic issues that cause stress and chaos in clinical settings. Trust in hospitals is crucial for public health, but a recent study indicates a significant decline in public trust, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to JAMA. Building trust requires hospitals to demonstrate genuine commitment through transparent communication, aligning operations with their mission, supporting their staff, and fostering authentic engagement with the community. A lack of trust can lead to people avoiding recommended care and vaccinations. "Trust" can refer to a belief in the reliability of someone or something.

Trust (n.) is c. 1200, "reliance on the veracity, integrity, or other virtues or sound principles of someone or something; religious faith," probably from Old Norse traust "help, confidence, protection, support," from Proto-Germanic abstract noun *traustam (source also of Old Frisian trast, Dutch troost "comfort, consolation," Old High German trost "trust, fidelity," German Trost "comfort, consolation," Danish trøst, Gothic trausti "agreement, alliance"). This is reconstructed to be from Proto-Germanic *treuwaz, source of Old English treowian "to believe, trust," and treowe "faithful, trusty" (from PIE root *deru- "be firm, solid, steadfast;" compare trow (v.), true (adj.)). It is attested from c. 1300 as "reliability, trustworthiness; trustiness, fidelity, faithfulness;" from late 14c. as "confident expectation" and "that on which one relies." It is recorded from early 15c. in the legal sense of "confidence placed in a person who holds or enjoys the use of property entrusted to him by its legal owner;" and by mid-15c. as "condition of being legally entrusted," hence "that which is committed to one for safekeeping or use." Called to be my strength when I am weak, what sin can they commit?

There are things that shake the public trust. I believe that my matter shakes our public trust. Things that shake public trust include political corruption (like bribery, nepotism, and misuse of office), government failures (such as financial mismanagement and lack of transparency), institutional breakdowns (including in areas like healthcare, education, and the economy), and the spread of misinformation. Scandals, a lack of accountability, and negative economic perceptions also erode trust in public and private institutions. The corruption of the Democrat Party and the stolen US Election of 2020 have shaken the public trust. Hiding information or failing to provide clear explanations, especially after a scandal or failure, which breeds suspicion. Major failures or poor performance in public institutions, such as issues in the economy, healthcare, or education systems. When institutions are seen as not working well or not being effective, there is a shakening of public trust. When institutions are corrupted by the conspiracy of a few, there is a shaking of public trust. I will never forget two statements that I heard at that hospital as I was being treated for an ischemic stroke at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. The nurse involved in the attack said afterwards, "Who is going to believe you over the doctors and nurses?" The morning nurse greeted my arousal by saying, "We thought you were going to die last night." I have emailed Mayor Muriel Bowser, Chief Pamela Smith, Commanders Jaron Hickman and James Boteler and others in the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and members of the DC City Council to send me a peace officer to take the report, to no avail. I am an excellent example of citizen suppression of reporting crime in DC. I have reported this matter to various local media and news outlets, to no avail. Maybe I would get some attention if I was an illegal alien. MayBe I become the DC Man. I even reported the matter to the White House, to no avail. They redirected me to the City for agency support. Reporting the matter to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice, along with patient abuse non-profits have been equally unsuccessful. Don't worry. I am not blaming President Donald Trump! To me on this matter, public trust has been shaken. Imagine how I feel about private trust. Getting a medical malpractice lawyer with experience with assault law has been more a feat than quest. Imagine my frustration as there is a three (3) statute of limitations to do so in DC and I haven't come close to achieving that.

I'm the living memorial of the unsolved murder. DC MPD has many unsolved homicides across various decades, including recent cases from 2023 and 2025. Infamous cold cases from earlier decades include the "Freeway Phantom" serial murders of young girls in the early 1970s, a case with complex and unproven suspect theories. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) website provides lists of recent unsolved cases by year, but historical cases are also documented on other MPD pages. One unsolved murder that will always remain dear to me is my beloved daughter, Charnice Milton. She was a mighty, young Conservative Christian who would make her father a strong pitcher of lemonade. Coffee drinker, like her Mom-Francine, she was a great writer and a tremendous community journalist. She attended the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University where she received her Masters. She was an honor undergraduate at Ball State University. She was coming home from covering a story when she was accosted by several gang members and shot dead at the scene. She was labeled a cold case although years later we were advised that MPD had found her killer behind bars but The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) didn't want to move forward. They wanted a "perfect" case against the suspect.

I give you the "perfect" case if MPD would just report it. An assault with conspiracy is what I offer. In D.C., assault is defined as a threat that creates a reasonable belief of imminent harm or unwanted contact, and the laws vary based on the severity. Simple assault is a misdemeanor that can result in up to 180 days in jail and/or a fine of up to $1,000. More serious charges, like aggravated assault, can lead to a felony conviction with potential penalties of up to 10 years in prison and fines up to $25,000. Penalties and charges are determined by a judge, considering factors like the extent of the injuries and the defendant's criminal history. If a death results from an assault injury, the laws in D.C. can lead to criminal charges like second-degree murder or other serious assault charges, and also allow for civil lawsuits for damages. The criminal classification depends on the intent and the severity of the injury, with "aggravated assault" applied if "serious bodily injury" occurs, which includes a substantial risk of death. In a civil wrongful death case, the victim's surviving next of kin can sue the assailant for damages. Conspiring to hide an assault in Washington D.C. can be prosecuted as a general conspiracy crime under the D.C. Code, which requires an overt act in furtherance of the agreement. The penalties depend on the nature of the underlying assault and may include up to 15 years in prison for a conspiracy to commit a crime of violence. Additionally, specific laws, such as those related to kidnapping and abduction, explicitly criminalize concealment and carry a maximum penalty of 30 years imprisonment. If you die from an assault injury in D.C., a wrongful death lawsuit can be filed by the personal representative of the estate, typically a surviving spouse, domestic partner, or children, within two years of the death. This civil case is separate from any criminal charges and seeks compensation for economic and non-economic damages, such as lost wages, medical bills, and emotional suffering. The claim must be filed within the two-year statute of limitations. I suggest the conspirators begin talking.     There is a nurse and two technicians that have a price to pay.

Truth will undue us all.
